Meet the Review Crew

Administrator

I've been involved in fandom for over two years now. I actually found my first ff by accident and boy was it like the best/worst thing that's ever happened to me. I don't remember the title or the site but I haven't looked back yet. The fandom sort of became my safe place. A place where I could just be me and no one would judge me.

I didn't set out to start a review site but as I matured I guess I wanted to get more involved. I was on staff at Twific News, with some of the best girls on the face of the planet but I found I wanted to break out on my own and do something a little different. I started Twific Reviews because...well I'm a review whore and I'm not afraid to admit it, and they always say that the first step is admitting you have a problem...but you know what I don't see it as one, so there :-P I love it when I get reviews for my stories. It's one of the best things ever. I swear I turn 12 when one comes in. I want to share that crazy, giddy, childlike feeling with everyone. I finally suckered enough of my friends to help me.

It wasn’t until 2009 that I found the fandom that has now consumed my life for almost the last 2 years. I stumbled across Twilight when I was looking for something to read when I knew I was going to be laid up in bed for a few days. I adored Twilight and then immediately went out and bought New Moon even though I had promised myself I was going to keep that book on hold until I was actually bedridden. Yeah, I ignored my life for three days and whipped through that book next. By the time I actually needed something to read to pass the time I found the beautiful world of fan fiction.   Here I found that there was an entire smutty world that captured so much more than the chastely written books of Stephanie Meyer and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I’m by habit a Bella/Edward shipper, but will read almost anything as long as it’s well written and has maybe a lemon or two. I love the smutty fluffy stories but will read angst as long as it has a purpose and hopefully a happily ever after or it will just piss me off. And life, I’ve learned, can piss me off enough without the help of angst filled fan fiction. I love getting reviews for my stories almost as much as I like leaving ones. Once I started writing fan fiction I learned how much a review can make your entire day, so I try to do that as much as I can. Especially with newer and lesser known authors who don’t have thousands of reviews telling them what a great story theirs is.

With a little encouragement from my twi-child KatieCav, I’ve joined this group to review for the Red-Eyes and Royalty segment. And well anything else she may need because I’m a sucker… who can’t say no.

I Remember the first time I saw the Twilight Trailer in Novmeber 2008. I thought the vampire dude was cute and I'd always been a fan of vampire stories so my interest was piqued. I didn't realize it was a book until a girl in my class started gushing about this vampire series called Twilight. After harassing me daily, I finally caved and read the series in a week and a half and saw the and read the series in a week and a half and saw the movie several times over the Christmas holidays. Over the next few months I looked online at every Twilight movie article/video/blog I could find and it trickled into a slight obsession with one Robert Pattinson. I had by then watched the movie and read the series a few times *cough* but it wasn't enough. I needed more! It was through a Rob blog that I was introduced to fanfiction. That was April of 2009 and I've read fanfiction almost exclusively in the last two and a half years.

As for Genre I enjoy anything and everything. I don't need a HEA to enjoy a well written story but I do love HEA's all the same! Bring on the angst, I can take it. Make me laugh, make me cry, piss me off...as long as I feel your story.

I was a solid Edward/Bella shipper in the first year I read fanfiction, until I read my first slash fic (Edward/Jasper) and I suddenly found a whole new sandbox to play in. Why do I like Slash? It's a tough question to answer. Considering my love of angst, perhaps it's two men finding love in the face of adversity? Could just be the smut. Either way, it's a genre that the fandom is embracing more and more every day. I joined Twific Reviews to recommend and review some of my favorites and introduce to you some very talented writers. Come play in my sandbox

I'm married, a mom, and for the last four years Twilight has taken over my life. When I discovered fanfiction, it really was all over. LOL. I started reading Slash last year, and I am totally obsessed with it. I read at least two stories per week and keep trying to get back into reading published books, but always seem to come back to fanfiction.

I'm a beta for Project Team Beta, Sparkly Red Pen, LiveJournal, Fanfiction.net and also FictionPress.com. I am seventeen years old, my birthday is April 24th (Just in case you are wondering), and I currently live in Washington State. I graduated high school on November 10th. I will be attending Eastern Washington somewhere down the road.

I first came upon Twilight fanfiction when I was reading a crossover between Twilight and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I was really into Buffy at the time, but I had absolutely loved the Twilight Saga. I've read all of the saga at least Three times so I thought, "Why not read Twilight fanfiction?" I've been stuck on it ever since...about almost a year, maybe longer.

The reason that I want to help Twific Reviews is that I love to share my ideas of others' work and I love knowing that my recommendation has made others read the stories that I point out. You can find me almost everywhere under the penname 7 Ace.

Hello Lovelies,

I am…. IamMp, or as some of you may know me on JBNP-MmmPaul, or FF.net Iamtwilightobsessed, and last but not least @ilikedirtywords on Twitter. Uh yeah, I was a creepy stalker… shy admirer, and ended up with more names than Elizabeth Taylor, before I decided to be social.

I was late to the party not reading the books until they were already out and on the bestseller list. I honestly had no intention of ever reading the “teen drama” as I referred to it, but an international move that left me sitting in a canvas chair staring at a blank wall as all my earthly possessions were shipped back the US changed my mind. I was hooked!

I didn’t discover fanfiction until just over a year ago, and I’ve been an addict in need of a good rehab ever since. I am a veracious reader and love to write my own fics as well. I am a Non Can Wolf Girl,
a fact my dog hates, since I yell at her to magically turn male and stand 6’6, muscly and resembling Kiowa Gordon (my secret lover, he just doesn’t know)  in my living room. She has yet to comply.

I am a massive Kiowa Gordon lover, and am currently plotting ways to lick him…just a little one.
I’m a huge smut fan, the more graphic the better… Dear Hustler …. Anyone?

Find me on Twitter but I’m still learning so ignore anything that sounds crazy. I just stopped saying I was Twitting on Tweeter.
