Summary: The Cullens, Leah, Jake, Seth, Embry and Billy have all moved out of Forks to Maine, under new aliases and stories, quieting the suspicions begun in Forks about their aging. All is well for the wolves and the Cullens when a chance encounter opens to the question… Are they truly alone?

I’ve been a big fan of Equivamp’s when she first posted her Twilight crossover with The Wizard of Oz in Over the Rainbow then I discovered she had another fanfic going and not just any fanfic, totally Jacob’d and Nessie’d out. I had to read it, of course! She currently only has 6 chapters up on Fan Fiction.Net, but it is my knowledge she has many more to come and I’m already reeled in.

Basically, this is another one of those Breaking Dawn continuations following the lives of Jake & Nessie, but it is quite different. Stephenie Meyer had hinted to the fact the Cullens would have to leave Forks because of their inability. What Stephenie Meyer forgot to include was the werewolves also don’t age, only physically growing, something that would be hard to hide. For these reasons, the Cullens, Jake and his pack (which now includes Embry) and of course, Billy Black have all moved out of Forks to Maine. Thinking nothing of it, they run into another pack of native shape-shifters and things become a bit more complicated.

Equivamp is an amazing writer and mixes together a perfect sense of drama and comedy. The story so far is written from Jake’s POV and she gets him perfectly. A lot of people have forgotten about how caring and devoted Jacob really is and Equivamp really personifies this well, including the regular antics from him. You’ll be all about the “sure, sure” after reading this and apparently, it’s hereditary ;)

I also got to give a shout out to another favorite Edward of mine. Just a little extra, I personally don’t like most people’s Edwards, but Overprotective Daddy Edward and Over-concerned Mommy Bella, what a pair! People should start to remember that Nessie is their one AND only daughter. Eddie and Bells were just too involved in each other during most fics, but this shows how they can actually be parents, especially with Nessie finally dating Jake. It is just great.

I could go on and on about this story. Equivamp is an author like no other. She writes comedy perfectly and the way she keeps you in the dark, always in suspense, you just can’t stop reading. Also, the seriousness she has in her writing is very clear something other serious writers would appreciate. Maine Events is really a great story, discovering the relationship of Nessie and Jacob more and more weaving within the new conspiracies and danger of living in Maine. It is a very unique fanfic and something you should add to your story alerts list.
