The story starts during Twilight in the Ballet Studio where Edward dies trying to save Bella. The rest of the Cullen's don't arrive in time to stop the transition and Bella becomes a vampire. While the majority of the family is happy to have Bella safe, Rosalie can't stand it. Everyone has known that Rosalie and Emmett weren't mates but Rosalie refused to admit it. When Bella wakes up, she realizes that she and Edward were never mates as well. What follows is the story of Emmett and Bella and how they deal with the coming to terms of being mates.

TheUnderstudy includes in this story two new characters Dee and Dazz, twin vampires who look at Emmett as their uncle. They are new characters she created and are just a riot to read. Another character I didn't expect to see was Mike Newton. Yes, Mike is turned into a vampire in this fic for Victoria's evil purposes and I didn't see that one coming. You'll just have to read it to find out if he survives or not.

I chose this story as my first fic to review because it's had me chomping at the bit for updates. The story is currently 18 chapters long and according to the author there are only about 4 chapters left. There are several other very good plot twists that I'll let you read and find out about. But I would say that this story is a definite must read.
